Okay be honest, how did you stumble into this? lol

I'm super jealous that you're driving your car around Europe, I'd love to ship my marauder over to Germany and take it around the ring once.

I'm considering picking up a goat as a DD and when I saw your sig I started reading your Europe adventures

Slightly off topic, but I have to ask about the wheels. I am shopping right now, and as you know wheels to fit a GTO are hard to come by! Then filtering out the ugly ones, then the heavy ones... Anyways, those Andros Type D have been near the top of my list, but I was unsure if they would clear the V1 brakes that I have yet to put on... I think you answered that question for me.

So, if you have good things to say about them, then they're going into my shopping cart next week, and I will be saving almost $500 versus my other plans!

Oh my God this is awesome and I want a sunroof like that for my GTO. I now feel I was cheated by not getting a sunroof.

Thanks for the kind words man. To be honest someone linked this blog to my thread a few days ago. As for my GTO and I, I am stationed here in Italy (Navy) so I have simply used my time wisely. I started the thread to help others like you guys see Europe first hand through my eyes. The GTO is a good car and I have had a good time with it. There are also videos on YouTube as well. They didnt come with sunroofs but ironically enough its the reason I bought the car.

Thanks for your service!

I dig the IBM, I drove a 04 A4 IBM a few years ago that had the SAP grille/spoiler/tail lights and a 05/06 hood as well as 18" monaro wheels. I think driving that is what got me so interested in them.

They do ride nice for sure and eat up miles very well. I think'll I'll have this one for a pretty long time. I just want a little more power and I think I'd be set for a while.

The Andros wheels are basically a french version of Enkies. They are designed and intended for rally use on shitty roads. So naturally they where a consideration for me living in Naples,Italy. I paid $139.00 a wheel from TireRack with a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport XL's.

The setup is intended for Ring use in particular. You will need to call tire and request the 34mm versions for the GTO. Also make sure they send you the hub ring adapters as the wheels that come 5x120 with the 34mm offset are 79.5 hub center size.

I hope this helps and there is more info in the brake kit thread I made on LS1GTO.COM.
